In 1948, Svend Kurt Hansen, a skilled saddle maker, began crafting furniture upholstery in Aalborg, Denmark. By the 1950s, he had built a thriving business, breathing new life into worn-out furniture.
In 1966, Svend’s son, Bent, joined him, expanding their work to create bespoke interiors for restaurants, hotels, and ships. Their dedication to quality laid the foundation for the family brand’s growth.
In the 1990s, Henrik Hvid Hansen, the third generation, saw the potential to evolve. He started developing Bent Hansen’s furniture collection, marking a shift from a small workshop to a renowned design brand.
