We want to help you make the right choice when selecting leather for your new furniture. Below you can read more about what characterizes each of our standard leather qualities and hopefully we can guide you to make the right choice.
Leather is made of tanned hides from cattle. On humans, our skin reflects the life lived. Small scars and wrinkles tell the story of who we are and not two of us are the same. The same goes for leather. All hides are not equally thick or equally elastic. This results in slight differences in color and structure that make each piece of furniture unique.
Variations in the appearance of the leather are not faults, but rather natural characteristics of real leather.
Please note that the colour representations are only indicative and may vary depending on your monitor. We recommend that you visit a retailer so you can see and feel the leather in real life before making your choice.
Please note that leather is a delicate material. Leather does not withstand falls, scratches or impacts against tabletops, for example.
Davos – natural & velvety soft
You should choose Davos leather, if…
Davos is our most natural leather. The leather has a velvety touch and matt look combined with the natural characteristics of an animal hide, such as skin folds, streaks and visible scars from scratches and insect bites. These characteristics give Davos its unique, raw and sophisticated charm.
Davos will age gracefully. Over time, patina will appear, and shine and smoothness will be added as a result of usage and exposure to daylight. Slight differences in colour and texture as well as tiny black marks after the processing of the hide may occur.
Davos has only received a light bio wax surface treatment, so the hide’s small hair follicles are still wide open. Open follicles enable the leather to breathe, making it soft and supple and incredibly delicate to touch and sit on.
DETAILS: Aniline leather of European raw hides. Chrome-free tanned. Dyed through. Full grain. Produced ecologically safe without AZO colours. Bio wax coathing. Thickness: 1.1 – 1.3 mm. Batch to batch variations in colour and texture as well as tiny black marks after the processing of the hide may occur.
MAINTENANCE: Protect from direct sunlight, excessive heat and sharp objects. Only vacuum clean with a soft brush. Do not apply leather grease.

Adrian leather wraps itself elegantly around the furniture leaving it with a smooth appearance. This leather demonstrates all the natural characteristics of an animal hide such as skinfolds, streaks and visible healed scars from scratches and insect bites.
Adrian leather is breathable because of its open-pored surface. This gives the upholstery a soft touch and unique comfort.

This leather quality has been treated with a protective surface finish that makes the leather dirt-repellent, durable and easy to keep clean. The finish prevents the leather from patinating, but the leather’s natural character is preserved.
Zenso 2 is extremely suitable for furniture that is exposed to heavy wear and tear in private homes or public environments.

Ranchero will age gracefully. Over time, patina and smoothness will appear as result of usage and exposure to daylight. Slight differences in colour and texture may occur.
Ranchero has been given a light stain-preventing impregnation, but the hide’s small hair follicles are still open. This enables the leather to breathe, making it soft and supple and incredibly delicate to touch and sit on.

MAINTENANCE: Protect from direct sunlight, excessive heat and sharp objects. Dust the leather regularly with a dry duster and vacuum clean only with a soft brush. If necessary, apply aniline cream to prevent stains and dirt and keep the leather soft and smooth. Always test on a hidden area.
CLEANING: Moist water-soluble stains slightly and soak up with a paper towel. If necessary, use a hair dryer to avoid watermarks. Always test leaning on a hidden area.
Always allow the leather to dry completely before use. Damp leather may rub off on clothing and light surfaces.
Do not tackle difficult stains such as red wine or ink until you have sought guidance from the leather manufacturer. Contact the store where you bought your furniture and ask them to contact the manufacturer for proper advice.
